Certification

IGI & GIA Certification

Every Mirage Garden centre stone above 0.50 ct ships with an independent IGI or GIA report. Here is what those reports cover and how to read them before you buy.

What the 4Cs actually tell you

Cut, colour, clarity and carat are the four grading axes — but cut is the one you can feel. A well-cut 1.00 ct stone outperforms a mediocre 1.20 ct one in real light. We will walk you through the trade-offs on WhatsApp before you commit.

Lab grown grading

IGI and GIA grade lab grown diamonds on the same 4Cs scale used for mined diamonds. The certificate will state that the stone is laboratory-grown.

Questions

Is the certificate included?
Yes. Where a stone is graded (typically 0.50 ct and above), the original IGI or GIA report ships with the piece.
What's the difference between IGI and GIA?
Both are independent international labs. GIA is the older standard and is sometimes preferred for resale; IGI grades the majority of certified lab grown diamonds and uses the same 4Cs scale.
